Job summary

Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Quality Control Supervisor to lead the Quality Control Laboratory in a coatings manufacturing setting. The role focuses on supervising quality personnel, ensuring product quality, and driving continuous improvement.

Strong coatings knowledge, color-matching expertise, and ISO familiarity are essential for success. The position reports to the Plant Manager and involves collaboration across Plant, Sales, and Customer Service teams to resolve quality

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field preferred.
Minimum five years of quality control experience in coatings/manufacturing.
Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Knowledge of coating formulation, testing methods, and QC procedures.
Experience addressing customer complaints and corrective actions.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Proficient with MS Office; BatchMaster familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the Quality Control Laboratory operations.
Supervise Quality Control Technicians and ensure compliance with procedures.
Review batch tickets, substrates, and ASTM testing methods.
Oversee product testing, inspections, and quality evaluations.
Maintain accurate records of testing and lab activities.
Investigate customer complaints and implement corrective actions.
Maintain retain samples and lab logs per procedures.
Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of lab equipment.
Maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment.
Collaborate with Plant Manager, Sales, Customer Service, and field reps to resolve issues.
