Job summary

King County is seeking a Coatings and Corrosion Specialist to support conveyance and treatment projects. You will participate in field inspections, evaluate corrosion of wastewater assets, and develop rehabilitation recommendations with rough cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience developing cost estimates or bids for construction projects.
• Ability to solve complex technical issues in a multi-discipline environment.
• Proficiency with common software used for work products and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction service and inspection including reviewing drawings and documentation.
• Serve as SME on coatings and linings for wastewater projects.
• Develop and manage work orders and contract documents plus cost estimates.
• Inspect facilities to assess corrosion and recommend rehabilitation actions with rough estimates.
• Maintain relationships with coatings and corrosion industries to suggest standards improvements.
