Job summary

Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. is seeking a lab technician to prepare and validate lab-scale prototype samples, and to support both manual and automated application techniques.

You will interact with internal teams to understand OEM and customer requirements and travel to customer sites for product trials. The role requires a science-related degree and 1–2+ years of experience, with PPE for paints and chemicals, strong communication, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• College degree in a science-related field required.
• 1–2+ years of applicable experience.
• Able to handle paints and chemicals, including isocyanates, with PPE.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform manual tasks.
• Basic computer skills: Office, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and validate lab-scale prototype samples following procedures.
• Utilize manual and develop capability in automated application techniques.
• Interact with teams to understand OEM and customer requirements.
• Observe industry trends by interacting with suppliers.
• Travel to customer sites to observe new product trials.
• Prepare internal reports and drafts for management review on schedule.
