Nippon Paint Automotive Americas Inc. is seeking a chemistry-oriented professional for lab-based customer support, including paint and panel preparation, data recording, and project analysis.

You will work under supervision to ensure accurate testing and timely communication of results. The role requires understanding of coatings chemistry, hands-on spray evaluation, and collaboration with field teams to meet customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or other science field with 2 years relevant experience.
• Willing and able to travel and work overtime as required.
• Strong work ethic with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Adapts well to priority shifts.

Responsibilities

• Technical skills: understands formula raw materials and coatings chemistry; analyzes project results with supervisor.
• Application knowledge: uses hand-spray equipment to generate test panels and learn customer application methods.
• Communicates technical information and project results to chemists and managers; writes detailed lab reports.
• Customer focus: travel with NPAA personnel to support customer needs and adjust to management requests.
• Business processes: use SAP, AS/400, and related processes to transition paint from Lab to Plant to Customer.
