Job summary

Valco Melton is seeking an entry-level Sales Engineer to join the Coating division of our Global Sales team. The role is based at the company’s world headquarters in Cincinnati and will report to the Global Sales Manager (Coating Division) based in Spain.

The Sales Engineer will combine technical expertise with solution‑based selling to identify, develop, and close opportunities, expanding Valco Melton’s market share in coatings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering (completed by or before Dec 2026).
• Past internships or co-ops in engineering- or sales-related roles.
• Strong ability to identify opportunities and drive growth.
• Ability to evaluate complex processes and tailor engineered systems to performance objectives.
• Excellent communication translating technical concepts into customer value.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new coating market opportunities to expand market share.
• Deliver technical presentations, proposals, and business cases.
• Provide high-level technical support during installations and start-ups.
• Analyze customer processes and translate into viable system recommendations.
• Continuously assess market trends and competitive activity.
