As a Coating Foreman in Tampa, FL, you will be the direct communication link between the superintendent and field craft. This role requires excellent communication skills and a thorough understanding of field tasks and processes. You will need to effectively communicate with owners, vendors, and other contractors, conveying project objectives, timelines, updates, and addressing concerns.

Responsibilities

• Effectively communicate daily work expectations to team members
• Identify when and where to perform abrasive blasting, water blasting, injection grouting, coatings, holiday testing, and adhesion testing
• Lead and coach team during STAC meetings
• Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and vendors
• Assess conditions and issues, determine corrective actions, and report to the superintendent
• Manage team members' personal needs and earn their respect
• Communicate effectively with the Senior Technician and Superintendent
• Understand project schedule and cost impacts of actions
• Utilize team skills effectively and motivate team members
• Lead by example

Qualifications

• Ability to safely operate a pickup truck with trailer
• Operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment
• Manage inventories of consumables, PPE, and rental equipment
• Calibrate confined space monitoring equipment
• Coordinate equipment repairs with vendors
• Participate in work planning meetings
• Confined Space Competent Person certification
• 3-5 years of high-performance coating application experience
• Experience leading crews
