Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. in Georgia is seeking a skilled Laborer to join our manufacturing team.

You will follow production instructions, prepare surfaces for painting, apply coatings, and support quality inspections to ensure our mechanical power transmission components meet exacting standards. The role requires basic math, tool proficiency, forklift experience, and the ability to work safely on the 2nd shift from 2:45 PM to 11:15 PM.

Qualifications

• Basic math skills and ability to follow English instructions.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools in a manufacturing setting.
• Forklift operation experience is required.
• Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch; blueprint reading is a plus.
• Capable of lifting and moving heavy items safely throughout shifts.
• Must be reliable with attendance and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Follow production instructions from process sheets and supervisors.
• Prepare surfaces and apply coatings with precision and care.
• Inspect parts for defects and ensure finish quality to standards.
• Operate forklifts and move materials around the plant safely.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and comply with safety protocols.
• Assist in assembly and equipment maintenance as needed.
