Ocean Point Inn, East Boothbay, ME, is seeking a Sales & Events Coordinator to grow weddings and events for a newly opening property. This role reports to the leadership team and focuses on developing local partnerships, generating new business, and bringing events to life at a boutique coastal destination.

The candidate should bring energy, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas to shape the sales culture while coordinating with departments to ensure memorable gatherings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years in hospitality, sales, events or related field.
• Detail-oriented, self-motivated hospitality, sales, events professional.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and convert leads into business.
• Knowledge of hotel sales, group business, weddings, and event operations.
• Comfortable in fast-paced environment with cross-department collaboration.
• Natural leader; works across departments.
• Strong communication, organization, judgment, and problem‑solving skills.
• Self-directed, adaptable, positive, eager to launch new sales initiatives.

Responsabilités

• Manage sales inquiries, leads, and bookings from initial contact through execution.
• Develop wedding, social, corporate, and group business for a newly opening property.
• Create proposals, contracts, correspondence, and sales materials.
• Serve as primary client contact throughout the planning process.
• Build relationships with local businesses, planners, organizations, and community partners.
• Coordinate with hotel departments to ensure successful event and group execution.
• Maintain records within Tripleseat and other sales platforms.
• Assist with room blocks, group logistics, and guest accommodations.
• Support follow-up communication and lead-conversion efforts.
• Help establish localized sales processes and standards.
• Provide weekly reporting to the GM and Regional Sales Manager.
• Serve as on-site leader and trusted team member.
