Shade Hotel Manhattan Beach is seeking an Events Sales Manager to generate new business, close corporate and social event deals, and partner with local planners. You will tour venues, present proposals, and guide clients from inquiry to contract, ensuring memorable celebrations by the ocean.

The role requires a 3+ year background in hospitality sales, strong communication and negotiation skills, and the ability to work flexible evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hospitality sales experience in hotels, resorts, venues, or similar settings.
• Experience selling weddings, social, corporate, catering, or group events.
• Proven ability to generate leads, build relationships, and close sales.
• Magnetic, outgoing personality with confidence in connecting with new people.

Responsibilities

• Generate new business via prospecting, networking, referrals, partnerships and outreach.
• Manage inbound sales leads and follow up to convert inquiries into bookings.
• Meet with clients, give tours, and deliver compelling proposals and presentations.
• Sell weddings, social events, corporate events, private events, and guest room blocks.
• Negotiate and close deals while maintaining pricing and revenue goals.
• Identify upsell opportunities to maximize revenue and guest experience.
• Develop relationships with local businesses and event professionals; attend industry events to generate new business.
• Maintain accurate lead, activity, and client records; collaborate with Event Manager and operations for seamless handoff.
