Job summary

Flanigan in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking motivated team members for frontline server positions. You will take guest orders, enter them into the POS system, and deliver meals and drinks promptly while maintaining a friendly, high-visibility service standard.

Candidates should be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and communicate clearly in English. Florida Responsible Vendor and food safety certifications are required by policy.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand/walk for 100% of shift.

• Must read, write and speak English.
• Complete Florida Responsible Vendor program per state laws.

Responsibilities

• Follow all safety and sanitation policies and training.
• Support team with table appearance and running food/drink.
• Know menus and promotions and answer guest questions clearly.
• Accurately write orders and enter into POS promptly.
• Deliver orders to guests in a timely manner.
• Assess guest demeanor and summon a manager when needed.
• Process payments and ensure correct transactions with POS.
• Perform opening/closing tasks and side work as assigned.
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests.

Overview

From our deck swabs to the captains of our kitchen, we welcome the best and brightest to our crew. We run a tight ship and each person on our team plays an integral role to ensure smooth sailing. We’re looking for driven individuals that would make an excellent addition to our unit and we hope that’s you.

Responsibilities

• Follows all company safety and sanitation policies and procedural training
• Support fellow employees in maintaining table appearance, food/drink running, etc. as needed
• Be knowledgeable regarding Food & Beverage menus and items, current food and/or drink promotions and specials, and answer guests’ questions verbally and clearly
• Accurately write down guests’ orders and enter into POS system, in a timely manner
• Retrieve food or drink orders from kitchen or bar area, and deliver them to guests in a timely manner
• Ability to assess guests’ demeanor and identify when to summon a Manager
• Collect guests’ payments (credit cards, cash, or gift cards only), ensure transactions are correct using POS efficiently, calculate and deliver correct change to guests in a timely manner
• Perform shift changes, opening/closing duties, assigned sidework
• Restock and maintain restroom cleanliness for guests

Qualifications

• Can physically stand/walk 100% of shift
• Can reach, bend, stoop frequently
• Able to deliver plates, and clear tables of plates and glasses, which may require lifting up to 50 lbs
• Ability to speak, read and write English
• Ability to read and write handwritten guest checks, notes, etc
• Complete and pass Florida Responsible Vendor program, in compliance with Whale's Rib and Florida statutes
• Complete and pass food safety certification program, in compliance with Whale's Rib and Florida statutes
