Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. is seeking a Resilience Project Manager in the San Francisco Bay Area to lead resilience and climate adaptation projects across planning, design, and construction.

You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and engage with public agencies and communities to translate flood risk science into actionable strategies. The role emphasizes equity-centered community engagement, interagency collaboration, and business development to grow Jacobs’ resilience practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Geography, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, Environmental Management, Public Policy, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in flood risk management, climate adaptation, coastal resilience, or related infrastructure and environmental program delivery.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams coordinating technical delivery and QA/QC.
• Experience with public agency clients and cross-government coordination in complex urban settings.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to senior decision-makers and public audiences.
• Familiarity with flood risk assessment, sea level rise, and coastal hazards planning frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of resilience and flood risk projects across planning, design, and construction phases including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and QA/QC.
• Coordinate engineering teams through design development and interpretation of hydraulic modeling and coastal engineering outputs.
• Lead interagency coordination and community engagement with equity focus and alignment of community priorities with technical performance.
• Contribute to vulnerability assessments, flood risk analyses, and adaptation strategy development across projects and programs.
• Prepare briefings, memos, technical summaries, and presentations for senior leadership and public audiences.
• Support business development and growth of resilience practice through proposals and client relationships.
