Job summary
Jacobs is seeking a Landscape Architect based in California to lead landscape design across infrastructure and development projects. You’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams nationwide and internationally, guiding projects from concept to construction and supporting client relationships with a focus on resilience and sustainable design.
Ideal candidates have 5–10 years of experience, a CA license, and strong visualization and presentation skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture is required.
- Professional California Landscape Architect license is required.
- 5 to 10 years of landscape architecture experience on infrastructure projects for private sector clients and public agencies.
- Ability to communicate design ideas through hand sketches and computer renderings.
- Experience delivering projects from concept through construction documentation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Willingness to travel and participate in public outreach.
Responsibilities
- Develop landscape architecture and site design solutions for infrastructure and development projects.
- Support projects from conceptual design through construction documentation and implementation.
- Prepare design graphics, presentations, renderings, and technical drawings.
- Conduct site analysis, code research, and regulatory reviews.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams across markets and geographies.
- Support construction phase services including RFIs, shop drawings, and site observations.
- Organize and present technical information to teams and clients.
- Build and maintain client relationships through project delivery.
- Participate in public outreach and industry thought leadership.
