Job summary

Jacobs in Florida is seeking a Ports & Maritime Structural Engineer to join a connected global team delivering marine infrastructure projects.

You will lead structural design for piers, wharves, bulkheads, and waterfront facilities, focusing on concrete and steel, collaborating across disciplines and with clients.

Applicants should have a Civil Engineering degree, 4+ years, PE or ability to obtain within one year, and familiarity with ACI/AISC/AASHTO and software; Master’s and 7+ years is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in structural engineering with concrete/steel focus.
• PE license or ability to obtain within one year.
• Experience with ACI/AISC/AASHTO and seismic design for marine structures.
• Experience with construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in structural analysis software and CAD tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design of marine and waterfront structures per codes.
• Prepare structural calculations, design reports, drawings, and specs.
• Support cost estimates, schedules, and bid documents.
• Lead or contribute to condition assessments and field investigations.
• Coordinate with internal teams, subconsultants, and clients.
