Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with coastal/structural focus.
• Master's degree in a relevant field is highly desirable.
• Professional registration with ECSA as Pr. Eng or Candidate Engineer.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze marine structures such as jetties, breakwaters, and quay walls.
• Conduct hydrodynamic and morphodynamic analyses for coastal processes.
• Develop detailed coastal protection designs (revetments, groynes).
• Prepare drawings, specifications, and contract documents for maritime projects.
• Coordinate with clients, port authorities, and regulatory bodies.
• Oversee construction and ensure quality control.
• Perform site investigations and feasibility studies for port developments.
• Ensure designs comply with SANS and international codes.
• Manage schedules and budgets; mentor junior engineers.
