Placements24 seeks a Senior Civil Engineer in East London to lead coastal and port infrastructure design projects, including breakwaters and jetties. You will oversee teams, manage clients, and ensure compliance with maritime standards.

Formación

• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a coastal/maritime specialization.
• Pr Eng registration with ECSA.
• Minimum 7 years' experience in coastal/port design and project management.
• Experience with numerical modeling for wave, tide, and sediment transport.
• Proficiency in design software and CAD tools.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the design and project management of coastal and port infrastructure projects (breakwaters, jetties, seawalls, dredging).
• Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments for marine projects.
• Develop detailed engineering designs, calculations, specs, and contract docs.
• Ensure designs comply with SA maritime standards and environmental regulations.
• Collaborate with clients, port authorities, and stakeholders.
• Manage project teams and ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Provide construction supervision and QA for marine works.
• Undertake risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations.
• Contribute to business development and client relationships.
