Job summary

The Colony Hotel in Maine, part of Pyramid Global Hospitality, is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Server. You will greet guests, describe the menu, and guide them through a culinary journey with knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits.

Applicants should excel in a fast-paced setting, communicate clearly, and collaborate with staff to deliver an exceptional guest experience at a coastal Maine property.

Qualifications

• Engaging, friendly personality and guest-centric service.
• Ability to describe menu items with enthusiasm and accuracy.
• Knowledge of wine, beer, cocktails, and spirits is preferred.
• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare the restaurant pre-shift for service.
• Greet guests as they arrive and guide them to their seats.
• Describe and sell menu items to guests.
• Take accurate orders and confirm special requests.
• Collaborate with servers and kitchen/bar staff to ensure smooth service.
• Assist guests with any concerns and resolve issues to their satisfaction.
• Present the bill accurately and promptly.
