Moffatt & Nichol seeks a coastal engineer at an entry to junior level to join our Oakland or Walnut Creek office. You will assist with planning and design for waterfront projects, contribute to feasibility studies, and help with coastal modeling under supervision.

The role offers growth as you gain independence, with opportunities to participate in environmental data collection, modeling, and engineering reports in a leading coastal practice.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Coastal, Water Resources, or Civil Engineering required or Bachelor's degree with 2–4 years experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD; growing proficiency in Civil 3D, MicroStation, and GIS.
• Exposure to hydrodynamic and wave modeling (MIKE21, Delft3D, SWAN).

Responsabilités

• Supports planning and design for waterfront and coastal structures (marinas, terminals, living shorelines).
• Contributes to feasibility studies and coastal hazard assessments.
• Collects data and assists with coastal modeling and reporting.
• Assists with fieldwork and project meetings.
