Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking an Engineering Project Manager to join our U.S. Coast Guard team in Santa Barbara, CA. You will lead design‑build and environmental projects, manage client relationships, and drive growth across federal, state, and municipal markets while ensuring project success.

The role requires extensive leadership, strong communication, and the ability to deliver on schedule and budget targets. Travel may be required as part of client engagements and site investigations.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years' experience and leadership on complex design-build construction and environmental engineering projects.
• Current registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) is highly desired.
• Current PMP certification from PMI is desired.
• Willingness to travel and hold a valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Direct design-build projects including engineering and environmental services, asset management, and master planning.
• Oversee engineering services: geotechnical investigations, design, and construction management.
• Oversee environmental services: evaluation of liabilities, site investigation, risk assessment, remediation, and permitting.
• Prepare proposals, manage projects, and balance sales and utilization for USCG design-build projects.
• Lead business development for the USCG design-build portfolio and build client growth strategies.
