Job summary

Statue Cruises in the New York/New Jersey harbor seeks an experienced Captain (Master in Navigational Command) to operate US Coast Guard inspected small passenger vessels under contract for the National Park Service between Liberty Island, Ellis Island, and nearby routes. You will ensure safety, security, and passenger enjoyment while maintaining high standards of seamanship.

The role requires a USCG Inland Masters license (100 ton+), FCC Radio, TWIC, and strong leadership to supervise deck

Qualifications

• Two years of boat handling experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of U.S. Coast Guard regulations and navigational rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate US Coast Guard inspected small passenger vessels under contract for the National Park Service.
• Supervise crew and ensure safety, security, and passenger enjoyment.
• Conduct safety meetings and drills; maintain logs and records.
• Enforce company policies and provide performance feedback.
• Work weekends and holidays as required.
