Job summary

Guest Services Inc. seeks a Captain to direct ferry operations, ensuring safe and efficient vessel performance. You will serve as the primary USCG liaison on compliance and safety, training, and drills to uphold high customer service standards on board.

The role requires handling passenger embarkation, maintenance, and logs, with opportunities to engage in non-motorized waterfront operations. Our position emphasizes safety, service, and regulatory compliance across diverse client sites.

Qualifications

  • Valid USCG license and TWIC card required.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Dock/marina experience preferred.
  • Ability to work remotely with little direct supervision.
  • Ability to lift/move up to 75 lbs.
  • Small boat handling experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate and maintain a passenger vessel.
  • Tie up vessel to docks, piers, ships and moorings.
  • Communicate professionally with client crew.
  • Oversee passenger embarkation/debarkation operations.
  • Repair and modification of equipment such as pumps, lines and hoses.
  • Lubricate and maintain marine systems.
  • Maintain accurate logs and records.
  • Interact with customers and management in a professional manner.
  • Perform dock hand work and support waterfront operations.
