Grade: 22

Salary: $75,999 - $86,588

The Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. (RFMH) is currently seeking a qualified candidate to serve as a Coaching & Training Specialist. The incumbent will provide coaching, training, and technical assistance support to implement High Fidelity Wraparound (HFW) and other identified training topics for the benefit of children and their families statewide. This position is within I CONECT at the Center for Practice Innovations (CPI) and receives oversight and guidance from the NYS OMH Division of Integrated Community Services for Children and Families.

Under the auspices of the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH), the Center for Practice Innovations (CPI) promotes the widespread use of evidence-based practices within behavioral health provider agencies throughout New York State. Considered an "Intermediary Organization" for implementation, CPI uses innovative approaches to build stakeholder collaborations, develop and maintain practitioners' expertise, and build agency infrastructures that support implementing and sustaining evidence-based practices. CPI also works with OMH to identify and involve program participants, families, providers, and scientific/academic organizations as partners in supporting the goals of OMH and CPI.

I CONECT is located at the Center for Practice Innovations (CPI), in the New York State Psychiatric Institute. The mission of the institute is to establish ongoing engagement, ensure integrated care, identify best practices, share core competencies, provide information, and create training opportunities that include cultural humility, person-centeredness, recovery, and trauma informed approaches for care managers throughout New York State.

The chosen candidate must possess the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position is fully remote. The incumbent must reside in New York State or the New York City metro area.

Duties And Responsibilities

1. The facilitation of individual or small group coaching, training and technical assistance sessions with provider teams as directed by the Statewide Coordinator.
2. Creating a learning environment that is youth and family centered, creative, and advances diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, and justice.
3. Accurate delivery and facilitation of training curricula for large groups through trainer led virtual or in classroom sessions.
4. Supporting training curriculum using asynchronous platforms.
5. Utilizing state-approved tools to measure program fidelity and youth/family satisfaction.
6. Observing practice implementation in the field to assess for adherence to fidelity and quality standards.
7. Analyzing data from fidelity tools and observations to identify individual and group coaching opportunities.
8. Partnering with providers to create and monitor individual skill development plans.
9. Supporting the Statewide Coordinator in conducting ongoing needs assessments. Making recommendations to adjust training curriculum accordingly.
10. Participating in the revision and/or creation of training, coaching, technical assistance, and marketing material.
11. Supporting the development of pre- and post-evaluations surveys and questionnaires for ongoing data collection.
12. Maintaining records regarding training, coaching and technical assistance attendance.
13. Development and compilation of required reports.
14. Assuring cultural awareness and sensitivity of programs delivered.
15. Traveling throughout NYS to attend/facilitate on-site meetings, trainings, coaching and technical assistance sessions as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

1. A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university in the fields of education, public health, social services, psychology, sociology, or human services program management. A master's degree in any of the fields listed above may be substituted for (2) years of experience in care management
2. (2) years of experience in care management or in a related human services field
3. Personal lived and living experience of mental health and/or substance recovery can substitute for education.
4. At least (1) year of experience facilitating training/workshops and providing coaching or technical assistance preferably in a human service setting.
5. At least (1) year using standard office professional software packages and web-based applications including Zoom, Webex, Share Point, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, web-based training and learning management systems.
6. A valid NYS driver's license is required. Must be able to participate in overnight, statewide travel as needed.
