Job summary
Textron Systems is offering a 2027 Co-Op in Hunt Valley, MD for a Software Engineer (Uncrewed Land & Air). You will contribute to the full software development life cycle within a military vehicle system context, collaborating with a mid-sized team on-site. A relevant degree, hardware/software integration interest, and exposure to protocols and tools are desirable.
U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a security clearance are required.
Qualifications
- Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, CIS, MIS, or related field.
- Experience with hardware and software integration is preferred but not required.
- Experience with TCP/UDP/CAN/Serial communications is preferred but not required.
- Experience with software management tools such as Mercurial, Git, Jira is preferred but not required.
- Experience with Linux and Windows development environments is preferred.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week, with a compressed or alternative schedule.
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.
Responsibilities
- Tasks related to the full software development life cycle: design, development, build, integration, test, and delivery.
- Work within a medium-sized software development team on military vehicle system development tasks.
