Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a 2027 Mechanical Engineer Co-Op (Uncrewed Land & Air) in Hunt Valley, MD. The role supports both next-gen technologies and proven platforms for warfighters, with hands-on design, analysis, and testing responsibilities.

You will work on multi-disciplinary teams, perform solid modeling, and contribute to hardware across the full product lifecycle. U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Ability to work 40 hours/week.
• U.S. citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support on next generation technologies and proven platforms for deployed warfighter.
• Involve solid modeling, fabrication and assembly, structural design, fastening & joining, and operation of measurement tools.
• Research & trade studies, develop mechanical concepts, perform performance, structural and thermal analyses, and support testing and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate on a multi-functional team with exciting technologies and products.
• Contribute as an individual to aero-electro-mechanical hardware across the product lifecycle from concept to lab integration and end-of-life support.
• Follow project schedules with Senior/Principal Engineer guidance.
• Design aeromechanical and electromechanical subsystems with solid modeling, analyses, and design for manufacturability.
• Create substantiating design/analysis documentation, presentations, test plans, and subcontractor/SOW/vendor documents.
