Job summary

Textron Systems is seeking a Mechanical Engineer Co-Op in Hunt Valley, MD. The role provides mechanical engineering support on next generation technologies and proven platforms that protect our warfighters, with opportunities in solid modeling, fabrication, and structural design.

You will contribute to design concepts, performance calculations, and analysis, while working on a multi-disciplinary team through all phases of the product lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Ability to work 40 hours/week.
• This position requires a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering support on next generation technologies and proven platforms that support and protect our deployed warfighter.
• Engage in solid modeling, fabrication and assembly, structural design, fastening and joining, and operation of measurement tools.
• Develop mechanical design concepts, perform performance calculations, structural and thermal analysis, and support testing and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate on a multi-functional team with exciting technologies and products across the product lifecycle.
• Create design and analysis documentation, presentation materials, test plans, and supplier/subcontractor documents.
