Job summary

Axcelis Technologies in Beverly, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer Co‑op for a 6‑month cycle (July 6–Dec 18), onsite at Beverly, MA. You will design, develop, test, and validate electrical and mechanical test solutions used in fast‑paced manufacturing, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

Candidates must be pursuing a BS in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
Familiarity with modeling software such as SolidWorks/Creo or AutoCAD.
Familiarity with schematic/PCB tools like Altium, KiCad, QElectroTech.
Experience with fabrication tools such as calipers and 3D printing.
Familiarity with measurement tools such as DMMs and oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, build, validate, and maintain electrical and mechanical test solutions.
Use automated test equipment and fixtures and contribute to fixture design.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet quality and reliability standards.
Analyze test data to identify root causes and variations.
Debug hardware at system level and document procedures and reports.
Support continuous improvement to increase test coverage and throughput.
