Job summary

Axcelis Technologies in Beverly, MA is seeking a Manufacturing Test Development Engineer Co‑op for a 6‑month cycle (July 6–Dec 18), onsite at Beverly, MA. Qualifications

• Candidates must be pursuing a BS in Electrical, Computer, Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or similar.
• Familiarity with modeling software such as SolidWorks/Creo or AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with schematic/PCB tools like Altium, KiCad, QElectroTech.
• Experience with fabrication tools such as calipers and 3D printing.
• Familiarity with measurement tools such as DMMs and oscilloscopes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, build, validate, and maintain electrical and mechanical test solutions.
• Use automated test equipment and fixtures and contribute to fixture design.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet quality and reliability standards.
• Analyze test data to identify root causes and variations.
• Debug hardware at system level and document procedures and reports.
• Support continuous improvement to increase test coverage and throughput.
