Job summary

Delta Air Lines, Inc. in Atlanta is seeking an In-Flight Crew Resources & Insights co-op to collaborate with analytics professionals on Flight Attendant crew optimization.

You will measure performance, research data, and develop dashboards while supporting scheduling models and process improvements. Candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate program and available for three alternating semesters of full-time work; housing stipends are provided for eligible relocations.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a 4-year degree (CS, Analytics, Econ, IE, IS).
• Available for three alternating semesters of full-time work.
• Must report in-person to Delta World Headquarters, Atlanta, GA, or relocate with housing stipend.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and continuous improvement mindset.
• Proficiency in MS Office; Python/SQL knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive operational excellence by measuring current performance and identifying optimization opportunities.
• Research, analyze, and interpret operational data.
• Develop new reports and dashboards and automate existing ones.
• Perform reliability/root-cause analysis.
• Evaluate and provide recommendations for improvements of key metrics.
• Proactively reduce flight delays through scheduling optimization.
• Maintain, run and improve staffing models to support scheduling operations.
• Provide strategic and operational support and develop performance metrics and goals.
• Develop success factors and statistical evaluations of new procedures and systems.
