Job summary

ARCO Companies is seeking a Project Manager Co-op for a 6-8 month, full-time program in the United States. You will assist Project Managers with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyout, permitting, shop drawing reviews, billing, and site visits to support design-build projects.

The role is ideal for students in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management programs, offering a housing stipend, ESOP eligibility, and a path to full-time employment after graduation.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Estimating project proposals and assigning dollar values to projects
• Creating a working timeline for subcontractors and trades to complete the project on time
• Attend design meetings with owner and team to understand design proposals from structural engineers and architects
• Send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors; receive and evaluate proposals and award subcontracts
• Fill out permit forms, submit with drawings and fees, then send to city/county/fire for approval
• Receive shop drawings or submittals, review with PM, and coordinate material ordering with subcontractors
• Subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications handling
• Visit job sites with PM to ensure projects run smoothly
