Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking a highly motivated Project Manager Co-op to join our team for a 6- to 8-month, full-time internship. You will assist our Project Managers with estimating, scheduling, design meetings, buyouts, permitting, submittals, billing, and site visits to gain hands-on experience across construction disciplines.

We prefer students enrolled in Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management programs with a 3.0 GPA or higher and prior internship

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0
• Previous Internship or Co-op construction experience preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic

Responsibilities

• Estimating – describe proposals and assign dollar values
• Scheduling – create timelines for subcontractors/trades
• Design meetings – attend with owner and team
• Buyout – issue bids, schedule, drawings; evaluate proposals
• Permitting – file forms, submit with drawings/fees, seek approvals
• Shop drawings/Submittals – review and coordinate with PM
• Billing – process subcontracts, change orders, pay requests
• Job site visits – co‑monitor project progress with PM
