Job summary

TMEIC Corporation Americas in Roanoke, VA is seeking a Cooperative Engineer to provide software design support for control solutions and drafting and hardware design support for electrical distribution and control systems.

You will develop software modules, create HMI interfaces, run simulations, and produce electrical drawings and control wiring diagrams using CAD tools, with input to hardware engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in BSEE/BSCPE/BSME with control automation coursework.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and problem solving.
• Willingness to travel domestically up to 5% and collaborate with teams.

Responsibilities

• Software Control & HMI: develop software modules and HMIs, simulate and verify against requirements.
• Hardware Control: create electrical drawings, CAD documents, and wiring diagrams.
• Process Automation: define interfaces, implement control software, and report progress.
• Models: develop algorithms for electro‑mechanical operation and verify via simulation.
