Job summary
TMEIC in Roanoke, Virginia seeks a Proposal Engineer to prepare timely commercial proposals and technical specifications for RFQs, supporting the sales function with detailed cost analyses for drive and automation systems.
You will work with clients and OEMs to define hardware and software requirements, develop pricing strategies to maximize project margins, and deliver technical presentations at client sites as needed.
Qualifications
- Experience preparing commercial proposals and technical specifications for RFQs.
- Ability to define hardware and software requirements with clients and OEMs.
- Strong cost element analysis for technical specifications.
- Develop pricing strategies to maximize project margins.
- Ability to identify product and service improvements from client feedback.
- Monitor industry trends and analyze competitors to inform offerings.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and deliver proposals and technical specs to meet RFQ requirements.
- Evaluate supplier proposals to determine best technical and economical solutions.
- Lead technical and commercial proposal development for small projects.
- Present at conferences and client sites as required.
- Review brochures for technical accuracy.
- Provide technical guidance in proposal preparation to clients.
- Track competitor offerings and provide analyses to teams.
