Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Long Branch, NJ seeks a Co-Occurring Disorder Specialist to deliver therapy and coordinate treatment for adults with mental health and substance use disorders. The role focuses on collaborative, patient-centered care within the Acute Partial Hospital Program at Monmouth Medical Center.

You will work with an interdisciplinary team to assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment, including education, family involvement, and community referrals to support recovery.

Qualifications

• Dual licensure as an LCADC and one of LSW, LCSW, LAC, or LPC.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy.
• 3–5 years in SPMI and co-occurring disorders.
• Experience in PHP/Partial Hospital Program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide group and individual therapy, coordinate services and update treatment plans.
• Conduct substance use assessments and make treatment recommendations.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and social workers on care plans.
• Develop and update the substance use education curriculum and ensure currency.
