Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus 1-2 years supermarket management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists the store manager in implementing an in-store sales-building culture that ensures growth through execution of merchandising programs and weekly sales plans.
• Provides for customer satisfaction and service throughout the store with emphasis on front-end fast service.
• Accountable for achieving budgeted financial results and assists in achieving total store results.
• Protects assets and conducts weekly audits on front-end, receiving and pricing; assists in shrink control.
• Controls store expenses, including wage percent.
• Assists in staffing the store, forecasting needs, recruiting and training; builds a development bench for hi-potential employees.
• Ensures direct reports understand expectations and receives performance reviews and feedback.
• Maintains store conditions through frequent store walks and ensures sanitation and food safety standards.
• Trains and develops store management, especially department managers, to ensure succession planning and bench strength.
• Ensures effective communications to Store Manager, Field Merchandisers and employees.
• Ensures stores run in compliance with company standards and local regulations.
• Maintains a safe facility for customers and employees.
