Job summary

Nest DC in Washington, DC is seeking a Maintenance Technician II for our Co‑Living portfolio. You work hands-on at properties, ensuring maintenance, safety, and resident satisfaction.

You will handle turnover, repairs, preventive tasks, and engage with residents, coordinating with the Maintenance Coordinator and leasing team to keep units move-in ready.

This role requires 2–4 years in maintenance, EPA certification preferred, and ability to lift 50 lbs, with in-person multi-site work.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of maintenance or residential building experience.
• Experience in multi-family or co-living environments preferred.
• EPA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete unit turnover processes including patching, painting, and minor repairs.
• Diagnose, perform, and bill for repairs; close work orders within 24 hours when possible.
• Schedule appointments through AppFolio; keep real-time notes.
• Perform quarterly property walkthroughs and seasonal maintenance tasks.
• Engage with residents professionally and communicate maintenance updates.
• Maintain safety standards and document inspections.
