Ponaganset High School is seeking an Co-Ed Golf Assistant Coach to mentor student athletes after school, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, sportsmanship, and academics. The coach will work with the Athletic Director and Principal to foster personal growth through athletics and competition.

The role requires coaching experience with adolescents in competitive sports, current certifications, and completion of NFHS course requirements.

Qualifications

Experience coaching adolescent students in competitive sports.
Submit a coaching application and meet RI/FL state requirements including BCI check with no disqualifying remarks.
Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
Complete NFHS coaching courses listed above (annually refreshed).
Citizenship, residency or work visa required.

Responsibilities

Coaches individual participants, small groups and teams to build skills.
Supervises team members and teams at all times.
Adheres to RIIL rules, district policies, and student development goals.
Monitors academic performance and emphasizes academics alongside athletics.
Acts as a role model, maintains professionalism under stress.
Collaborates with athletic director and coaches to schedule practices and games.
