Job summary
ONE Gas in Austin, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician Specialist for Auto Repair to perform complex installation, maintenance, and repair of fleet vehicles and CNG equipment. You will work on internal combustion, diesel engines, and CNG systems in a busy shop environment.
The role requires high safety standards, the ability to read manuals, and mentoring junior mechanics in CNG conversions and installations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma required.
- Experience with hand and power tools and automotive repair.
- CNG vehicle conversion experience or training.
- Installation, maintenance and repair of CNG refueling equipment.
- Electronics knowledge and ability to read manuals/schematics.
- Familiarity with safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to read/interpret work orders and blueprints.
- Fluent reading/writing in English.
Responsibilities
- Perform complex maintenance and repair on fleet vehicles and CNG equipment.
- Refueling/compressor stations and related systems.
- Mentor and guide fleet mechanics in CNG conversions/installation and repair.
- Monitor and order parts; maintain repair/maintenance records.
- Maintain safe, clean work areas and ensure proper tool usage.
- Schedule maintenance and document time sheets and reports.
