Job summary

People First Recruitment is sourcing an experienced CNC EDM operator for our client in Auburn Hills, MI. You will set up and run wire and/or sinker EDM machines to meet print specs and process requirements. You will review blueprints, load programs, dial offsets, stage tooling, and perform in-process measurements with precision metrology tools.

• Hands-on CNC machining background; EDM experience preferred.
• Fluency reading blueprints and using precision metrology tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run CNC EDM equipment (wire and/or sinker) to meet print and process specs.
• Review blueprints, work instructions, and inspection criteria to plan each job.
• Load programs, adjust offsets, select and stage tooling, and perform precise in-process measurements.
• Troubleshoot machining issues proactively while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Support grind operations as needed and complete routine machine maintenance and tool changes.
