Job summary

People First Recruitment is seeking a CNC EDM Machinist to set up and operate sinker, wire, and popper EDMs. You will read blueprints, inspect parts, and maintain tooling per process specs. The role includes TPM duties, 6S housekeeping, and clear handoffs between shifts. A clean safety record and teamwork are essential.

Candidates should have 2–5 years of EDM experience, GD&T familiarity, and the ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance if required. Local candidates preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–5 years of experience with wire or sinker EDMs (GD&T experience required).
• Familiarity with Siemens CNC controls is a plus.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, planning documents, and manufactur­ing specifications.
• Comfortable multitasking in a team environment.
• Physical capability: lift 50 lbs (4"–25"), push/pull 60 lbs, grip strength ≥50 lbs, reach above shoulder (65).
• U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance if needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine TPM on equipment.
• Follow safety rules, quality procedures, and company policy; maintain a clean, organized 6S work area.
• Keep materials and parts flowing through the cell.
