Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. (CRT) seeks a Waterjet Strip Operator to train in waterjet strip techniques using a CNC robot to remove coatings from turbine engine components.

You will work with experienced teammates, learn equipment and CAO processes, and gain hands-on experience as responsibilities grow in a modern, climate-controlled facility. CRT offers extensive in-house training, potential career growth, and a pathway to more advanced responsibilities as your skills develop.

Qualifications

• Two years’ work experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand step-by-step processes.
• Experience using basic measuring devices such as scales, micrometers, and calipers.
• Familiarity with general shop math.

Responsibilities

• Follow established safety protocols and guidelines to ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
• Set up and prepare components by reading work instructions and selecting the appropriate computer aided program for the work scope.
• Operate the CNC controlled robot to perform waterjet operations while monitoring the process for accuracy.
• Load and unload components with overhead cranes and other equipment designed to move heavy objects.
• Control coverage areas to receive waterjet operation.
• Evaluate surface areas after operation to verify complete, uniform coverage and surface treatment quality.
• Secure supplies such as racks, tooling, baskets, and product prior to starting operation.
• Perform routine inspection and minor maintenance on waterjet equipment.
• Clean, adjust and maintain equipment using hand tools.
• Utilize daily overhead crane and lifting equipment.
