Job summary

Component Repair Technologies, Inc. in Mentor, OH seeks a Waterjet Strip Operator to train in coating removal using a CNC robot. You will work with experienced teammates, gaining hands-on skills, with in-house training and growth opportunities in a climate-controlled facility.

Initial responsibilities include reading instructions, operating the CNC waterjet, and equipment maintenance. The role requires basic shop math and the ability to work with overhead cranes and various tools.

Qualifications

• Two years’ work experience in a manufacturing setting is required.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to follow step-by-step processes.
• Experience using scales, micrometers, and calipers or similar measuring devices.
• Familiarity with basic shop math and measurement reading.

Responsibilities

• Set up and prepare components by reading instructions and selecting the correct computer aided program.
• Operate the CNC controlled robot to perform waterjet operations and monitor accuracy.
• Load and unload components with overhead cranes and other moving equipment.
• Control coverage areas for waterjet operation and ensure uniform surface treatment.
• Evaluate surfaces after processing to verify complete coverage and quality.
• Secure supplies such as racks, tooling, baskets, and product.
• Perform routine inspection and minor maintenance on waterjet equipment.
• Clean, adjust and maintain equipment using hand tools; use overhead crane daily.
