Job summary

GPAC is seeking an experienced CNC Vertical Milling Machinist / Setup Operator to independently set up equipment, adjust programs, troubleshoot issues, and produce precision components from blueprints. This role requires hands‑on machining experience and the ability to own the machining process from setup through final inspection.

Candidates should read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and select tooling, feeds, and speeds.

Qualifications

• Several years of hands‑on CNC machining and setup experience.
• Strong setup experience beyond basic machine operation.
• Ability to independently read blueprints and understand GD&T.
• Strong knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
• Experience editing CNC programs and making offsets.
• Ability to inspect your own work and troubleshoot machining problems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
• Experience machining large or complex components highly valued.
• Background in mold, die, tooling, aerospace, heavy industrial, or high‑precision machining is a plus.

This position is ideal for a machinist who can independently set up equipment, make program adjustments, troubleshoot machining issues, and produce precision components from blueprints.
