Job summary

A-Line Staffing Solutions is seeking experienced CNC Setup Machinists to set up and operate CNC and NC equipment in a precision manufacturing environment in Michigan. You should read blueprints, select tooling, set offsets, adjust feeds and speeds, inspect parts, and troubleshoot machining issues.

• Knowledge of tooling, offsets, feeds, speeds, and machining processes.
• Familiarity with G-code and M-code.
• Experience with precision inspection equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage production priorities.

CNC Setup Machinist - Mill & Lathe 4 Positions Available

We are seeking experienced CNC Setup Machinists to set up and operate CNC and NC equipment in a precision manufacturing environment. This position is ideal for a machinist who can do more than simply load and unload a machine. You should be comfortable reading blueprints, selecting tooling, setting offsets, adjusting feeds and speeds, inspecting parts, and troubleshooting machining issues. Experience with CNC mills, CNC lathes, turning, milling, or other precision machining equipment is highly relevant.

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC and NC machines for production runs.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and job orders.
• Determine tooling, fixtures, machining sequences, and setup requirements.
• Load and verify CNC programs.
• Set tool offsets and make adjustments to feeds and speeds.
• Operate CNC mills, lathes, or other machining equipment.

Qualifications

Schedule

First Shift: Monday-Friday, approximately 6:00 AM-4:30 PM Saturday: Typically 6:00 AM-12:00 PM Second Shift: Monday-Thursday and Friday schedule; exact shift times will be confirmed.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around moving machinery, coolants, lubricants, metal shavings, and other manufacturing-shop conditions.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination required.
