Randstad USA seeks a true CNC Machinist to join a high-precision manufacturing team. You will set up and run 3/4/5-axis CNC mills and live-tool turning centers, read and edit G-code, and maintain tight tolerances using precision instruments.

Responsibilities

• Setup & Run: Perform complete, independent setups on 3/4/5-axis CNC mills and live-tool turning centers.
• G-Code & Edit: Read, interpret, and edit G-code/M-code programs at the machine controller.
• Precision Inspection: Hold tight tolerances with precision measuring tools.
• Process Optimization: Select tooling, speeds/feeds, and workholding to maximize tool life and efficiency.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose tool wear and dimensional drift on the fly.

Responsibilities

• Setup & Run: Perform complete, independent setups on 3/4/5-axis CNC mills and/or live-tool turning centers.
• G-Code & Edit: Read, interpret, and edit G-code/M-code programs at the machine controller (Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or Heidenhain).
• Precision Inspection: Hold tight tolerances (down to $\pm 0.0002$") using micrometers, bore gages, calipers, surface plates, and optical comparators / CMMs.
• Process Optimization: Select optimal tooling, speeds, feeds, and workholding (fixtures, soft jaws, vacuum chucks) to maximize tool life and cycle efficiency.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose chatter, tool wear, dimensional drift, and thermal expansion on the fly.
