Job summary
Guhring Inc. in Brookfield, WI is seeking a skilled CNC Universal Grinder to set up and operate multi-axis grinding machines, ensuring close-tolerance parts for customer specifications and maximizing production efficiency.
The role requires associate degree in machine tool operation or 3–5 years’ related experience, plus proficiency reading shop drawings and performing SPC. Experience with precision measuring tools, data entry, and familiarity with Walter/ANCA/Star/Schutte/Rollomatic CNC
Qualifications
- Associates degree in machine tool operation or 3–5 years related experience preferred.
- Ability to read, understand and follow shop drawings and instructions.
- Strong math and trigonometry skills for setting up machines.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate universal CNC grinding machines.
- Perform frequent changeovers for small quantity orders.
- Dress and form abrasive wheels and mount tools.
- Run auto-cycle and inspect parts for dimensions.
- Enter production data into the data collection system.
- Monitor equipment and request maintenance when needed.
- Perform SPC procedures on all jobs.
