Guhring, a leading manufacturer of cutting tools, seeks a CNC Machinist for the 2nd shift in Brookfield, WI. The role involves setting up and operating universal CNC grinders to handle complex parts to tight tolerances, with frequent changeovers for small-batch jobs.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree or 3–5 years of related experience, plus strong math skills, ability to read shop drawings, and experience with multi-axis CNC equipment. EOE.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 3–5 years related experience preferred.
• Experience with basic machine operation and reading drawings.
• Ability to read instructions and shop drawings; strong math skills.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate universal CNC grinding machines to perform close tolerance work.
• Perform frequent changeovers for small quantity orders and maximize production efficiencies.
• Dress and form abrasive wheels; mount tools and set spindle speeds, feeds, and stops.
• Run equipment in auto-cycle and inspect finished tools for correct dimensions.
• Enter production data into the data collection system and monitor equipment performance.
