Description

JOB SUMMARY: Sets up and operates CNC Turning Centers to machine metallic parts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interprets complicated sketches, routings, and product specifications.
• Sets up, adjusts, programs, and operates CNC turning machines and tools.
• Detects malfunctions and out-of-tolerance dimensions during turning operations.
• Reports process variations, tooling issues, and assists with corrective actions.
• Operates multiple machines concurrently to maximize efficiency.
• Maintains tight tolerances and finish specifications.
• Uses inspection equipment to verify finished work conformance, including SPC charts.
• Works under general supervision.
• Performs preventive maintenance in coordination with Maintenance Department.
• Follows Ace Precision Quality System work instructions for CNC operations.
• Ensures production standards through efficient planning.
• Complies with safety policies and procedures.
• Completes documentation accurately.
• Maintains attendance standards.
• Contributes to team efforts as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED, with at least two years of related experience or training, or equivalent.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to perform basic arithmetic with decimals and fractions.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to understand and carry out instructions; problem-solving skills involving multiple variables.
