Position Summary

The experienced CNC Machinist will produce high-precision components for our machine tools and automation products in a climate-controlled, well-lit environment. The role utilizes updated equipment and the latest technology.

Essential Functions

1. Set up and operate Fanuc-controlled lathe CNC equipment from detailed setup sheets.
2. Read and interpret CAM posted G and M code.
3. Operate machines to produce high-precision, low-volume parts.
4. Safely operate overhead cranes and handle large parts (up to 16,000#).
5. Inspect work to ensure specifications and tolerances are met.
6. Coordinate with department colleagues for downstream operations.
7. Stay current with manufacturing technologies to improve productivity.
8. Work on other equipment and assist as needed.

Requirements

1. 2-5 years of setup and operation experience in a manufacturing environment.
2. High school diploma or equivalent.
3. Proficiency with Fanuc controls and machine operation.
4. Own quality inspection and hand tools.
5. Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently, with attention to detail, and willingness to operate other equipment and work overtime.
7. Effective communication and organizational skills.
