Job summary

Epic Aircraft, LLC in Bend, Oregon is seeking a Tooling/CNC Operator to set up and operate CNC machines, test fixtures and programs, and fabricate, assemble, and repair composite mold tooling. You will work with composite materials and power tools while reading blueprints and process sheets for accurate production.

You will maintain records, uphold quality and safety standards, and contribute to a fast-paced, team-oriented aerospace manufacturing environment with ongoing training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience running CNC machines.
• Experience reading and understanding G Code.
• Ability to maintain quality and safety standards, records, and equipment.
• Strong verbal, written, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read, evaluate, and respond to blueprints and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC equipment to prove out programs and machining concepts.
• Assist in troubleshooting new programs/fixtures.
• Configure tools and ensure efficient production.
• Use dimensional measurement tools.
• Lay-up composite materials.
• Vacuum bag and consolidate materials.
• Read blueprints, templates, process sheets, and other documents.
• Develop shop aids to facilitate fabrication of composite parts.
• Perform repairs.
• Maintain records and a clean work area.
• Assist other operators.
