Job summary

Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, assemble, and repair composite mold tooling
  • Work with a variety of composite materials and manufacturing processes
  • Use dimensional measurement tools to verify accuracy and quality
  • Perform composite material lay-up, vacuum bagging, and material consolidation
  • Read and interpret blueprints, templates, process sheets, and other authorized manufacturing documentation
  • Develop and use shop aids to support the efficient and accurate fabrication of composite parts
  • Perform tooling repairs and modifications as needed
  • Maintain accurate electronic and paper records
  • Inspect completed work to ensure it meets quality standards
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a member of the Tooling Department, the Tooling Technician will help fabricate, assemble, maintain, and repair a variety of composite mold tooling. This hands-on role involves working with composite materials and a variety of hand and power tools, including grinders, saws, and sanders. You'll work closely with the Tooling team to produce high-quality tooling while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized work environment.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and move throughout the facility for the majority of the shift
  • Ability to frequently use hands and fingers for handling materials and operating hand and power tools
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials, tools, and equipment
  • Ability to work in various positions and access tooling or work areas that may require reaching, climbing, or working overhead
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with sanding, grinding, cutting, assembly, and composite lay-up
  • Ability to visually inspect work and distinguish details necessary for accurate fabrication and quality control
COMPENSATION AND SCHEDULE
Monday – Friday
  • 7:30 am - 4:00pm
  • 6:00 am - 2:30pm

Starting Pay: $22.00/hour DOE
