Job summary

OPW is seeking a skilled Tool Maker to design, fabricate, modify, and repair tooling for manufacturing operations. Read drawings, set up manual and CNC machines, and produce components to tight tolerances.

You will program CNC equipment with G-code/M-code, support engineering and production teams, and participate in continuous improvement while maintaining a safe, clean 6S workplace. Strong experience in tool room operations and safety compliance is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical/trade training is a plus.
• Five or more years in tool making or precision machining.
• Experience setting up and operating manual and CNC machines; G-code/M-code programming.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine tolerances and dimensions.
• Plan and perform machining operations to fabricate, modify, repair, or maintain tooling and fixtures.
• Set up and operate mills, lathes, grinders, saws, and related equipment.
• Program CNC equipment using G-code and M-code; troubleshoot tooling issues.
• Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify specs.
• Support production and engineering in tooling-related quality improvements.
