Job summary

OPW Global is seeking a Tool Room Attendant to support machining operations by providing correct tooling and components for production orders. You will be the primary contact for tooling requests, prepare tooling kits, and maintain accurate tool room inventory to minimize downtime.

You will work closely with CNC operators, technicians, Toolmakers, Engineering, and Production to ensure tooling is available when needed. Strong organizational skills and basic computer knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory systems.
• Ability to work effectively in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist CNC operators and technicians with tooling requests by gathering information.
• Identify, locate, pull, and issue tooling and components for machining operations.
• Prepare and stage complete tooling kits for new production orders.
• Use Cribware and MRP systems to identify tooling requirements, verify availability, issue and return tooling, and maintain accuracy of inventory records.
• Maintain tooling inventory levels and communicate shortages or replenishment needs.
• Receive returned tooling, break down kits, clean tooling, and return reusable items to storage.
